Yvonne O. Pease, 88, of Elizabeth, died Monday, January 29, 2024, at her home near Elizabeth.  She was born June 18, 1935, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Lawrence and Mellie Lohmeyer Stevens.  She was retired from environmental services at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana, was formerly employed at M. Fine and Sons Shirt Factory in New Albany and at Hobart Service in Louisville, and was a member of Smith Campground Church near Laconia.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Larry Pease, Jr.; her sisters Wanda Maxine LaDuke and her husband, Carl, and Bonnie Dennison and her husband, Roy; and her brothers in law, Burl Hoke and Richard Keinsley.

 

Survivors include her husband, David L. Pease; her sons, Larry Pease (Angela), Jerry Pease (Nancy), Jeff Pease (Jacquelyn), and Dwaine Pease (Vickie); her daughter, Trish Jacobs (Ryan Carlton); her brothers, Floyd Stevens (Mary Rose), Nelson Stevens (Bonnie), and Albert Stevens (Brenda); her sisters, Alice Hoke, Roberta McRae (Jim), Linda Faith (Ronnie), Eleanor Keinsley, Virginia Absher (Alvin), and Judy Schoen (Rodney); her grandchildren, Timothy Pease, Tiffany Pease, Whitney Gunther (Chris),  Kyle Pease (Megan), Sarah Stones (Carl), Rachel Yap (Brian), Renee Jacobs (Prentice Leavell), Megan Rivers (Stephen), and Hannah Lewis (Joel); her granddaughter in law, Dina Pease; and her great grandchildren, Loralei, Kennedy, Conner, Maggie, Houston, Leni, Kaia, Sadie, Kingston, Harper, Emerson, Riley, Olivia, and Finnegan.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Jerry Bryant will officiate.  Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Carl Stones, Brian Yap, Prentice Leavell, Kyle Pease, Chris Gunther, Timothy Pease, and Conner Pease.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Smith Campground Church.
