Wilma Marie Goldman Obituary

Wilma Marie Goldman went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her home in the Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown.

Wilma would have celebrated her 89th birthday on January 19, 2021. Above all else, she was a woman of great faith in God. She also cherished her family, and devoted her life to serving and nurturing others.

She was born the fifth of 12 children to the late Clarence and Icy (Gibson) Garmon.

Wilma lived most of her life in Central. For more than 30 years, she was married to the late William “Bill” Goldman. The two of them farmed and made a home together until Bill’s passing in 1987.

She was a devoted member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Central.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Marion Adam Garmon, Leo Garmon (Mary Ellen), Carl Garmon (Patricia) and Harold Cecil Garmon (June Ann); sisters Thelma Barks and Dorothy Lucille Garmon; and brothers-in-law, Clifford Gunther, Eddie Crosslin and James Harl.

She is survived by brothers Charles “Don” Garmon (Phyllis) of New Albany, and Paul Garmon (Connie) of Central; sisters Sylvia Gunther of Corydon, Norma Jean Crosslin of Portland, TN, and Oletta Harl of New Albany; brother-in-law Earl Barks of Central, and numerous, cherished, nieces and nephews.

Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Service in Corydon is handling funeral arrangements. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be planned at a later date.

The family requests that memorial gifts be made as donations to the Central Cemetery fund.
