William R. Brock, Sr., 81, of New Middletown, died Friday, September 9, 2022, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon.  He was born April 27, 1941, in Floyd County, Indiana, to the late Raymond and Bernice Wisman Brock.  Bill attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and graduated from Lanesville High School, was the proprietor of B-Hive Fence Company since 1976, was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation and EMCO Containers both in Louisville, was a member of the K of C in Lanesville, was a past member and president of the Lanesville Town Board, was a member and past committeeman of the Harrison County Democratic Party, and her enjoyed hunting in his earlier years. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, William R. Brock, Jr.; his step daughter, Susan Renee Phillips; and his brother, Tommy Brock.

 

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Deanna Wright Brock; his son, Terry Brock (Beverly); his daughter, Cherie Lynn Keithley (Dennis); his step sons, Kevin Steen (Pamela), Brian Blackman, Jason Blackman, and Ben Blackman; his step daughter, Kelly Blackman; his daughter in law, Donna Brock; his son in law, Marc Phillips; his brother, Robert Brock (Shirley); his sisters, Patty Campbell (Irvin) and Paula Reilly (Greg); 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Brother Ron Stuart will officiate.  Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery near Laconia, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be David Steen, Jr., Roger Faith, Gary Ray Allen, Mark Harbeson, Alvin Greer, Troy Campbell, and Larry Campbell.
