William Murphy “Bill” Elliott, 95, of Indianapolis, Indiana, died Monday, April 28, 2025, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born March 24, 1930 in London, Kentucky. He was retired from Western Electric in Indianapolis after 32 years, was the owner of his own store, Hobby Hangar in Beech Grove, Indiana for 10 years, was a Kentucky Colonel, was a member of the Indianapolis Masonic Lodge, was a Korean Era veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a Christian. Bill loved radio controlled airplanes, playing Bingo, collecting coins, and was an avid UK basketball fan.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Blanche Virginia Moren Snyder and Chester Snyder; his wife, Joyce A. Schulte Elliott; and his brother, Lindsay Elliott.
Survivors include his son, William Allan “Billy” Elliott (Tara) of Whitestown, Indiana; his daughter, Melissa Ann “Missy” Livengood (Chris) of Indianapolis; and his granddaughter, Ashton Marie Waidlich.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the funeral home.
