William M. “Bill” Bartley, 89, of Laconia, died, Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at his home near Laconia. He was born July 22, 1930, in Mauckport, Indiana, to the late George Edward and Sarah Maye Hunter Bartley. He was retired from the United States Postal Service in Kensington, Maryland, was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, was a member of Hornickel Post American Legion #379 in Elizabeth, Indiana and was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, LaVerne Farrish, Lois Schneider, Inez Watson and Elizabeth Wolfe; and his brothers, June, John and Dallas Bartley.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ann Angelic of West Palm Beach, Florida; his sister Bonnie Carter of Laconia; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Greg Carter will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery near Laconia.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 8:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bob and Scott Bartley, Trent and Trevor Farris, Terry Watson and Rodney Stewart.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
