William Dorby Wright

William Dorby Wright, 79, of Central, Indiana, died Thursday, May 12, 2022, at his home near Central.  He was born June 25, 1942, in Grayson County, Kentucky, to the late Dorothy Pearl Lasley and Robert William Wright.  He was a retired custodian at Corydon Central High School and a bus driver for South Harrison Community School Corporation.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Kesha Wright; and his brother-in-law, Bennie Curl.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Sipes Wright; his sons, Robert Wright (Angie), Marty Wright (Janet), Ronnie Wright (Tina), Dorbie Wright and Ricky Wright (Dana); his grandchildren, Whitney (Sarah), Cheyenne (Kenny), Josh, Seth (Kelli), Jessica (Eugene), Natasha (Clint), Olivia (Dylan), Ethan (Julia), Brittany and Sierra; his great grandchildren, William, Sylvia, Camden, Cora, Charlotte, Curtis, Caleb, Xenia, Emilia, Mason, Waylon, Landen, Wesley, Mila, Aubrey and Corbin; his brothers, Gorby Wright (Ann), Kent Wright (Linda), Gene Wright (Holly) and Bobby Wright (Margie); and his sisters, Donna Curl and Carolyn Gunderman.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Rick Utz will officiate.  Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Marty, Dorbie, Ronnie, Ricky, Ethan and Whitney Wright.  Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Wright, Kenny Hunt and Dylan Harl.
