William David Johns, 87, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and has been a resident of Osceola County since 2001 coming from Upland, Indiana. He was a retired District Supervisor for the State of Indiana Examiner’s office, was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), and a retired Chief of the Laconia Fire Department in Laconia, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Johns in June 2020.
William is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol J. Johns of Kissimmee, Florida.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Greg carter will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Rehoboth Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Miller, Bill Best, Scott Byrum, Jason, Bryson & Joshua Rowley.
