William D. Barnes, Sr. Obituary
William D. Barnes, Sr., 70, of Lanesville, Indiana, died Friday, July 1, 2022, at his home near Lanesville. He was born July 6, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Nora Mae Riggs Barnes and the late Granvil Barnes. He was a retired minister, was the owner of Triple B Lawn Care, attended Shiloh Pilgrim Holiness Church near Corydon, and was a retired member of the Iron Eagles Motorcycle Club in Lanesville.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Barbara E. Gee Barnes; his brother, Johnny Cecil Barnes; and his brother in law, Rick Case.
Survivors include his son, William D. Barnes, Jr. (Mallory) of Corydon; his daughter, Karen E. Barnes of Lanesville; his mother of Lanesville; his brothers, Tom Barnes (Pamela) and Mark Barnes (Becky); his sisters, Sharon Wiseman (Merrill), Shirley Wiseman (Carl), Mary Stuart (Tim), Ruth Case, Naomi Sillings (Ben), and Sarah Stuart (Donald); his sister in law, Gale Barnes; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Burton, Abigail Burton, Khloe Barnes, and Kyah Barnes.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Tim Stuart and Rev. Mark Arnett will officiate. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy, Mark, and Tom Barnes, Chris Sillings, Curtis Bussabarger, and Jeffrey Burton. Honorary pallbearer will be Aaron Wiseman.
