Wesley “Buck” “Woody” Woodlock, 91, of Corydon, died peacefully in his sleep on May 21, 2022, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Center, located in Corydon. He resided at Cedar Court Assisted Living Center, also in Corydon.
Wesley was born on December 16, 1930. He was a 1950 graduate of Henryville High School. He was a Navy Korean War veteran, serving on the battleship, Missouri. Wesley was retired from Ford Motor Company’s Kentucky Truck Plant.
An avid woodworker, gardener, and all-around handyman, Wesley’s greatest love was his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Harry Woodlock, by his loving wife, Carolyn (Bundren) Woodlock, his son, Mike Woodlock, and his grandson, Joe Woodlock, as well as all his siblings, Jim, Luella, Lillian, Harry, Rose, and Cookie.
Survivors include his daughters, Patty (Jack) Neff, Susan (Scott) Freiberger, Janie (Mike) McIntire, daughter-in-law, Becky Woodlock, and brother-in-law, Dick (Eva) Bundren. Surviving grandchildren include Chris Woodlock, Andrea (Shay) Wilson, Jen (Collion) Carroll, Joe’s widow, Johna Woodlock, Sarah (Josh) Rinker, Catherine (Eddie) Chuprinskas, Libby (Garett) Ross, and Emily (Jacob) Rich. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Burial services will be private at Fairview Cemetery near Corydon. The family will hold a celebration of Wesley’s life at a later date.
