Wanda Jean Wolfe, 91, of Corydon, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her home in Corydon. She was born August 17, 1930, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late John Ruel and Catherine Elmira Mathes Stoner. She was formerly employed as a cook with the South Harrison School Corporation and as a janitor for Public Service Indiana, attended Highland Avenue Holiness Church in Corydon, and loved quilting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Wayne E. Wolfe; and her sisters, June Hart and Juanita Motley.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Sheckells (Abraham) of English, Indiana, Shirley Sillings (William) of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Connie Thomas (Michael) of Elizabeth, Indiana; her grandchildren, Abe Sheckells II (Patricia), Melissa Sheckells, Jennifer Sillings, Laura Walgren (Shawn), Erica Vardaro (Jeffrey), Michael Thomas (Abby), and Jeffrey Thomas (Katie); 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Danny Goodman and Rev. William Sillings will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
