Vivian I. Dean Obituary

Vivian I. Dean, 86, of Corydon, Indiana, died Thursday, March 19, 2026, at her home near Corydon.  She was born October 29, 1939, in Corydon, to the late Charlie and Leona Dodds Troncin.  She was formerly employed at the old Indiana Army Ammunition Bag Plant near Charlestown, Indiana, was a volunteer with Hosparus Health of Southern Indiana with her husband, Terry, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.  Vivian loved genealogy, scrap booking, making candy and cake baking, antiquing, and was an avid cookie jar collector.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Aaron L. Dean; her brothers, Doyle, Edward and Norvel Troncin; her sister, Helen Chinn; 1 grandson; and 1 great grandson.

 

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Terry L. Dean; her sons, Nelson E. Stepro (Lorena A.), Steven R. Stepro (Sandra A.) and Ronald W. Stepro (Jerri L.); her daughter, Kelly J. McCormick (Wade); her brothers, Buddy and Kenneth Troncin; her sisters, Charlotte Lone and Wanda Chinn; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

 

Her funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.  Father Kyle Rodden will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

 

Pallbearers will be Josh Stepro, Coy Stepro, Taylor Stepro, Jonathan Stepro, Chris Stepro, Brad McCormick, Kyle McCormick and Derrick Barnes.
