Violet F. Watson, 99, of Central, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon. She was born November 14, 1920, in Central. She was retired from M. Fine & Sons and was formerly employed at H.A. Seinsheimers both in New Albany, Indiana, was a lifetime member of the Mauckport Homemakers Club, was a member of the Silver Liners, she attended Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon where she was active in the Young at Heart group, and she loved sewing, cooking, crafting, singing and being with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna Wright Lopp; her husband, Roy E. Watson; her daughter, Lena Watson Melton; her son, Mark Watson; her brothers, Harry, Ira, Charles, Stanley and William Lopp; and her sisters, Faye Tindall, Thelma Lopp, Lois Shickles and Margaret Shewmaker.
Survivors include her son, Delmer Watson (Kathleen); her grandchildren, Darren Watson (Vickie), Dana Holton (Thad) and Beth Watson; her great grandchildren, Jagger and Ava Kathleen Holton and Addison Rachelle Alford; her son in law, Roy Melton; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central.
