Victor Jay Carnley, 65, of Corydon, Indiana, died Thursday, May 7, 2026, at his home near Corydon.  He was born April 13, 1961 in Elgin, Illinois.  He was an Instrument Technician with Monument Chemical in Brandenburg, Kentucky, loved tinkering in his garage, playing his guitar, going fishing and taking rides in his jeep, and was a talented storyteller.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Carnley and Anita Ann Ford Elmore.

 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kathy Jo Barrow Carnley; his step father, Robert G. “Bob” Leffler; his sons, Jesse Ray Carnley (Kelli), Jeremy Ross Carnley (Summer) and Jacob Reid Carnley (Kayla); his grandchildren, Mason, Presley, Hannah, Kaelyn, Charleigh, Harper, Jaxon, Raelyn, Jett and Jace; his brothers, Rodney Leffler (Leslie) and Robert L. Leffler (Cheryl); and his sisters, Angie Foe (Charles) and Tina Fields (Donald).

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Allen Edwards will officiate.  Burial will be in Pennington Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Andrew Woolfolk, Donald Kintner, Loran Kintner, Kevin Barrow, Eric Keith and Tony Kirkham.
