Troy Dale Eldridge, 57, of Byrneville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  Troy was born February 10, 1968, in New Albany, to Nancy VanFleet Stickler and the late Irvin Eldridge.  He graduated from North Harrison and Prosser for Horticulture.  He worked for Cave Hill Cemetery, Tom Speaker Greenhouse, at Salem GKN, and then became a drywaller.  He loved to grow plants and flowers and made cedar wreaths and garlands for Corydon and many other places for Christmas since 2009.

 

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Irvin Eldridge; his stepfather, Herbert Stickler; his son, Ryan Dale Eldridge; and his sister, Angel Bruner. 

 

Survivors include his mother, Nancy Stickler; his children, Alan Bland, James “Kevin” Eldridge, and Christa Eldridge; his sister, KellyJean Gettelfinger; his brothers, Paul “Danny” Fink (Terri), Roger Eldridge (Debbie), Robert Eldridge (Ann), Donnie Eldridge, and Todd Eldridge (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Gabe, Alana and Andrew; and his lady friend, Valerie Swank.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Elder Bill Raine will officiate.  Burial will be in Byrneville Cemetery in Byrneville.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Alan Bland, Mark Cash, Kevin Eldridge, Chris Davis, Terry VanFleet, Sr. and Daniel Fink.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help his children pay for funeral expenses.
