Thomas Joseph “Joe” Saltsgaver, 84, of Ingalls, Indiana, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Indiana.  He was born on June 13, 1941, at Dry Run near Leavenworth, Indiana to the late Raymond & Esther LaHue Saltsgaver.  He was retired from the central office with Sprint telephone company after 39 years, was a member of the Alton, Indiana American Legion #133 and attended the Church of God in Pendleton, Indiana.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kevin Saltsgaver; and his four brothers, Raymond Jr., Bobby, Jesse & John Saltsgaver.

 

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Pearson Saltsgaver; his daughter, Amy Jo Saltsgaver; his sisters-in-law, Rachel Saltsgaver and Mary Conklin; his brother-in-law, Rodney Riddle; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana.  Rev. Marvin Culver will officiate.  Burial will be in East Cemetery near Leavenworth.

 

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Jerry Myers, David Saltsgaver, Nevin Saltsgaver, Jake Saltsgaver, Tim Saltsgaver and Matthew Wells.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to East Cemetery.
