Tammie Lee Whitaker, 64, of Corydon, died Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born May 23, 1959 in Louisville.  She was formerly employed with Humana in Louisville, with Blue River Services in Corydon, and as a cafeteria manager with the Jefferson County Kentucky Public School System.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Josie Sexton Collins; and her son, Justin Whitaker.

 

Survivors include her son, Jason Whitaker (Kim) of Corydon; her father, Frank Collins of Louisville; her brother, Benjamin Collins of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; and her granddaughter, Mikayla Whitaker.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Darren Carey will officiate.  Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
