Susan Alberta Coogle, 88, of Corydon, died Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her home near Corydon.  She was born April 30, 1936, in Cecilia, Kentucky, to the late Audie and Lura Neff Browning.  She was a homemaker and loved gardening and sewing.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cletis W. Coogle; her son, Douglas R. Coogle; her brother, Clifton Browning; and her sisters, Mildred Amy, Edna Dorton and Phyllis Nichols.

 

Survivors include her son, Michael W. Coogle of Corydon; her daughter, Pamela J. Mattingly (Joe) of Corydon; her grandchildren, Joei Susan Coogle of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Joshua T. Mattingly (Christina) of Corydon, Jessica L. Coogle of Lanesville, Indiana, and Steven R. Coogle of Lanesville; her great grandchildren, Westen, Paisley and Shiloh Schnellenberger all of Lanesville, and Amber A. Mattingly and baby Mattingly (on it’s way) of Corydon; her brother, Dennis Browning of Cecilia; and her sisters, Ollie Mae Yates of Cecilia, and Delia Ann Truby of Stephenville, Texas.

 

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
