Shelia A. Baker, 89, of Corydon, died Friday, September 16, 2022, at Golden Guardians Senior Services in Corydon. She was born January 30, 1933, in Corydon, to the late Floyd and Sailo Miller Winsor. She was a member of the Corydon Christian Church Disciples of Christ, the Order of Eastern Star, and Job’s Daughters, was previously a member of the Lanesville Heritage Committee, and enjoyed quilting, painting and ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years, William Emery “Bill” Baker; her son, Stephen W. Baker; and her brother, James Winsor.
Survivors include her sons, Robert M. Baker (Shelly) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Bradley W. Baker (Carol) of Louisville; her daughters, Rebecca Ann Brouwer (Greg) of Noblesville, Indiana and Holli S. Castetter (Bill) of Corydon; her sister, Mary Jane Ehalt of Georgetown, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor George Ross will officiate. Rachael Thompson will be the vocalist. Burial will be in Lanesville Protestant Cemetery in Lanesville, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Alex, Brad and Robert Baker, Bill and Doug Castetter, TJ Lawson, Jordan Lewis and Rachael Thompson.
