Sharon K. Shewmaker, 82, of Corydon, Indiana, died Monday, June 30, 2025, at her home in Corydon.  She was born June 12, 1943, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Burrel and Mary Yeager Timberlake.  She was retired from Walmart in Corydon and was formerly employed as a secretary with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.  Sharon loved Bingo and going to the Corydon Jamboree.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Vaughn Timberlake.

 

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Melvin J. Shewmaker; her sons, Tim Shewmaker (Rita) and Scott Shewmaker (Sarah); her brother, Terry Timberlake (Carrie Sue); her grandchildren, Brittany Gillman (Travis), Bethany Brown (Josh), Tyler Shewmaker (Greta), Traci Pavey (Josh), and Dalton Shewmaker; and 10 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Lanny Lawler will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Dalton Shewmaker, Tyler Shewmaker, Josh Brown, Travis Gillman and Josh Pavey.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Radmacher, Richard Crosier, Ronald Sieg, Charlie McMonigle, Kent Yeager and Danny Boone.
