Sharon Diane (Jones) Buck

Sharon Diane Jones Buck, 72, of Corydon, died Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her home in Corydon.  She was born May 29, 1950, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late Hubert and Hazel Friar Jones.  She was retired from welfare departments in California and Louisville, Kentucky, and was a member of Corydon Baptist Church and the DAR.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Judy Gross; her brother, Steven Jones; and her husband, Danny Buck.

Survivors include her sisters, Janice Young of Corydon, Cathy Stokes of Newberg, Oregon, and Cheryle Parker of North Little Rock, Arkansas; her brothers, Jim Jones of Concho, Arizona, Jack Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Ron “Joe” Jones of Punta Gorda, Florida; and many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at12:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at Corydon Baptist Church.  Brother Keith McWhorter will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, and after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Corydon Baptist Church’s Children’s Ministry.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Sanders, Cullen McFadden, Alex Berger, Kirk Bokenkamp, Mike Jones, and Ethan Rowe.

The family would like to thank Dr. Harry Rencoe and Dr. Spaulding at the Norton Cancer Center, and Hosparus Health for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Sharon.
