Ruth E. Wright

Ruth E. Wright, 88, of Corydon, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.  She was born August 7, 1934, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Cort and Elsie Wiseman Smith.  She was a member of the Bible Methodist Church and attended Shiloh Pilgrim Holiness Church near Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Rev. Lewis Smith & Alonzo “Lonnie” Smith.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Sheldon Lee Wright; her sons, Ryan E. Wright of Rushville, Indiana, Dale E. Wright (Nina) of Vinton, Arkansas, and Travis Lee Wright (Vonda) of Charlestown, Indiana; her daughter, Linda Wright Shields (Brian) of Jasper, Alabama; her brother, Rev. Denzil Smith (Gerry) of Danville, Virginia; her sisters, Wanda Weaver (Jerry) and Kelta Sherman (Brian) both of Hobe Sound, Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Mark Arnett & Rev. Mark Ranke will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
