Ruby Lee Decker Vaughn, 87, of Corydon, Indiana, died Sunday, October 5, 2025, at The Willows Assisted Living near Corydon, Indiana.  She was born April 5, 1938, in Barrier, Kentucky, to the late Reuben Decker and Lillie Jane New Decker.  She was a homemaker and was a member of Faith Assembly Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George “Ford” Vaughn; her brother, Lyle Decker; her sisters, Joyce Ann Decker and Linda Decker; her son-in-law, Bud Thompson; and her brother-in-law, Bobby Bertram.

 

Survivors include her sons, Douglas Vaughn (Sarah) and Jeff Vaughn; her daughter, Patricia Ann Thompson; her sisters, Ella Mae Bertram, Alma Sue Kidd (Danny), and Pamela Jo Terrell (James); her grandchildren, Jason Thompson (April), Tiffany Lawson (Ray), Douglas Vaughn (Rachael), and Austin Vaughn (Ann Catherine); and her great grandchildren, Lauren Thompson, Logan Thompson, Regan Lawson, Quinn Lawson, Bennett Vaughn, Rebecca Vaughn, Matthew Vaughn, and Jeremiah Vaughn.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
