Roy L. Melton, 83, of Mauckport, Indiana, died Thursday, May 7, 2026, at his home near Mauckport.  He was born July 27, 1942, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Charles and Mabel Paris Melton.  He was a farmer and a self employed logger, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Corydon Moose Lodge.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lena M. Watson Melton; his brothers, Earl and Donnie Melton; and his infant sister, Patricia Melton.

 

Survivors include his brothers, Lester, Melvin and John Melton; his sisters, Jane Cline, Barbara McMonigle, Doris Wiseman, Phyllis Metz, and Anita Beach; and many loving nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana.  Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
