Ronald "Ron" Toler Obituary

Ronald (Ron) Toler, 84, passed away peacefully in Jupiter, Florida, on December 23, 2025. Born August 10, 1941, in Corydon, Indiana, to Carman and Ruby (Davis) Toler, his father was a minister and Ron began playing piano and singing at a young age in church.  He pursued his passion for music, serving as a church organist, accompanist, and vocalist.

 

Ron met Lois, his wife of 59 years, while in high school in Bloomfield, Indiana, and they made Corydon their home in 1962. He and Lois owned Toler’s Interiors in Corydon until retiring to Hobe Sound, Florida. Ron was a member of The Gideons International for 50 years, holding various leadership positions and teaching public speaking skills. In retirement, he began playing shuffleboard competitively, enjoying winning multiple tournaments.

 

He is predeceased by his parents, wife Lois, grandchild Bethany Paul, and sister Patricia McGowan. He is survived by his children, Ron (Linda) Toler of Hobe Sound, Florida, and Rhonda Sen of Bronxville, New York. He also leaves behind his grandsons Bruce Toler, Kieran and Cillian Sen, as well as granddaughters Kristen and Sydney Ernstberger and great-granddaughter Emma Grace Paul.

 

He is also survived by his sisters, Donna (Eugene) Carpenter, Judy (Richard) Polley, Becky (Mike) Mydock, and Martha (Jim) Heatwole.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, January 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, located at 201 North Oak Street, Corydon, Indiana. A funeral service will follow the visitation on January 3 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Heidelberg Cemetery.
