Roberta Sue McRae, 82, of Laconia, Indiana, died Monday, February 17, 2025, at her home near Laconia. She was born December 12, 1942, in Elizabeth, Indiana, to the late Lawrence and Mellie Lohmeyer Stevens. She was retired from Harrison County Hospital in Corydon and was a member of Smith Campground Church in Dogwood, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Bonnie Dennison, Wanda Maxine LaDuke and Yvonne Pease; and her brothers, Nelson and Albert Stevens.
Survivors include her husband, James Alvin McRae; her daughters, Debbie Sue Gerth (Scott), Jamie Ann Ferree (Kenny) and Tina Lee Walther (Vince); her grandchildren, Nicole Windell (Aaron), Dillon Walther, Cody Ferree (Shelby) and Hannah Walther; and her great grandchildren, Lainy Windell and Presley Ferree; her brother, Floyd Stevens (Mary Rose); and her sisters, Alice Hoke, Linda Faith (Ronnie), Eleanor Keinsley, Virginia Absher (Alvin) and Judy Schoen (Rodney).
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2025, at Benblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Jerry Bryant will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Walther, Cody Ferree, Aaron Windell, Alan Hoke, Sheldon Dennison and Randy Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Sherman, Mike Hecht, Don Haste and Howard Dale Faith.
