Robert L. “Bob” Harrison, 94, of Georgetown, Indiana, died Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born June 8, 1930, in Byrneville, Indiana, to the late Leonard and Josie Lou Thomas Harrison.  He was a former clerk at Hennis Freight Lines in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, was retired from the Indiana Department of Welfare in Jeffersonville, Indiana, was a member of Community of Christ Church in Byrneville, Indiana, the V. F. W. Post 2950 in Corydon, Indiana, the American Legion Post 332 in Milltown, Indiana, the DAV and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Robert Dale Harrison; his brother, Paul Harrison; his sisters, Wilma Bundy, Betty Summers and Joyce Harrison; his daughter in law, Jill Jeffries Harrison; and twin infant brothers.

 

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, JoAnn Crone Harrison; his grandchildren, Joshua Paul Harrison and Benjamin Robert Harrison (Sarah); and his brother, Richard Charles Harrison (Ann).

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Elder Bill Raine and Elder David Maymon will officiate.  Burial will be in Byrneville Cemetery in Byrneville, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Byrneville Cemetery.
