Robert Jess Daugherty, Sr.

Robert Jess Daugherty, Sr., 73, of Corydon, died Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born October 19, 1947, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Bill Daugherty and Ruth Adams Hambright.  He graduated from Cumberland High School in Cumberland, Kentucky, was retired from B.F. Goodrich in Louisville after 40 years, was a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan Evelyn Bryant Daugherty; and his grandson, Chase McNeill.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer L. McNeill (Michael) of Central, Indiana; his sons, Robert J. Daugherty, Jr. (Elizabeth) of Elizabeth, Indiana and Kevin L. Daugherty of Knoxville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Cody J. Daugherty (Amber), Jason C. Daugherty, Jennifer L. Stocks (Brage), Kimberly Daugherty, Kaleb Daugherty, Landon Daugherty, Hunter McNeill, and Emma McNeill; and his great grandchildren, Rayven Daugherty, Kaylan Daugherty, Kayleigh Stocks, and Jaelynn Stocks.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Webster Oglesby will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday and after 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Welch, Jody Welch, Brian Tillery, Miles Parker and Jason Keinsley.
