Robert D. "Bob" Brown

Robert D. “Bob” Brown, 90, of Corydon, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at his home in Corydon.  He was born February 1, 1933, in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, to the late David Franklin Brown and Lena Frances Coke Brown.  He was a retired carpenter, was a member of the Church on the Rock in New Albany, Indiana, was dedicated to jail ministry at the Harrison County Jail for 35 years, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Gerald “Jack” Brown and Marvin Brown; and his sisters, Ida Barrow and Joan Dones.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Goldman Brown; his daughters, Cheryl Fisher of Ramsey, Indiana, Terri Karnes (Keith) of Corydon, and Debra Ann Peers (Tom) of Houston, Texas; his brother, Lee Brown (Lou) of Lenoir, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Miriam Fisher, Rachel Nolan (Matt), Veronica Croner (Eric), Frank Fisher (Jess), Joshua Karnes, Noah Karnes (Chrissa), Matthew Karnes (Mari), Jesse Peers (Sarah), and Carissa Long (Jamie); and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Jordan Jacobs will officiate.  Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Karnes, Noah Karnes, Matthew Karnes, Frank Fisher, Jesse Peers, and Aidan Peers.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Central Cemetery Foundation.
