Robert Bell "Bob" Brightwell

Robert Bell “Bob” Brightwell, 85, of Louisville, died Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at his home in Louisville.  He was born June 1, 1935, in Louisville, to the late Eugene and Ella Bell Brightwell.  He retired in 1985 as an aircraft mechanic with the Kentucky Air National Guard in Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Victoria Meek Brightwell; and his brothers, Stanley, Jack, and Charles Brightwell.

Survivors include his sons, Robert S. Brightwell (Janice) of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Clay Bailey of Crystal River, Florida; his daughters, Laura Bailey and Charlotte Schoenagel both of Louisville; his brother, Herb Brightwell of Georgetown, Indiana; his grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Jordan, Mac, Joe, Lisa and Michelle; and his great grandchildren, Clay David, Kalee, Scarlette, Evan, Killian, Jamison and Wyatt.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, Kentucky.
