Rita Agnes Gallotta, 87, of Lanesville, Indiana died Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Indiana. She was born December 27, 1931, in Payneville, Kentucky, to the late Claude and Mabel Redman Mattingly. She was retired from Philip Morris in Louisville, Kentucky, a member and Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville and was an accomplished artist.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bernard Frank Gallotta, her parents and her brothers, Alphonsus, Aloishus, Gerald and Francis Mattingly.
Survivors include her fifteen nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville. Fr. Robert St. Martin and Fr. Juan Valves will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lanesville.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
A rosary service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
