Rick Alan Windell, 67, of Corydon, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born January 10, 1955, in Corydon, to the late J. Carlton “Corky” Windell and Edna Elizabeth Kost Windell. Rick traveled across the country working in commercial refrigeration for Jordan Industries, and later retired from Marathon/Ashland Oil Company in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Larry and Dennis Windell.
Survivors include his son, Zachary Alan Windell (Gillian) of Louisville; his brother, Bruce C. Windell (Linda) of New Middletown, Indiana; his sisters, Dianna K. Crawford (Eugene) and Beverly J. Simmons (Robin) both of Corydon; and is a soon to be “Grandpa” to Ari and Sophie.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Webster Oglesby will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Windell, Bruce Windell, Brandon Feller, Josh Welch, Brady Zanders, Eric Windell and Jeff Windell.
