Richard Paul Hold

Richard Paul Hold, 82, of Corydon, died Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his home near Corydon.  He was born September 17, 1938, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Paul Owen Hold and Helen Virginia Rajski Hold.  He was a carpenter and was a retired Building Inspector for St. Joseph County, Indiana, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Gregory Paul Hold.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Rose Marie Javorski Hold; his daughters, Wendy Marie Chitwood (Joie) of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Elaine Sue Richardson of Corydon, Sandra Jean Morrison (Edward) of Scott Air Force Base, Ohio, Carrie Theresa Whitehead (Randy) of Cumming, Georgia, and Louise Athena Schenck (David) of Hailey, Idaho; his grandchildren, Nathan Chitwood (Andrea), Trevor Chitwood (Tula), Dustin Richardson, and Linzy Chesser; his great grandchildren, Rayson, Carolyne, Ciara, Kylie, Skylar, and Bentley; and his sisters, Marilyn and Sandy.

His funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.  Father Kyle Rodden will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

There will be a rosary service at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
