Richard E. Planck, 79, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at his home in Corydon. He was born June 4, 1943, in New Britain, Connecticut, to the late Everett S. and Claudia P. Mann Planck. He was employed by Texaco for many years then pursued his interests with undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics. His book, “The Chain-Letter Economy” came out in 1997. He enjoyed hiking and the out-of-doors.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Claude.
He is survived by three daughters, Michelle Louise, Kristin Marie and Diane Elizabeth; a son, Steven David; and a brother, Jim, all of New York; a sister, Barbara Planck of Corydon; 13 grandchildren; and 3 nephews.
