Rhonda Jo Newbern, 48, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Depauw, Indiana, died Monday, March 18, 2024, at her home in Louisville.  She was born September 27, 1975 in Gainesville, Florida.  She attended Lafayette County High School in Mayo, Florida, and was employed at McDonalds on 12th Street in Louisville and at Culvers in Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Newbern of Hatchbend, Florida.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Aaron Shafer of Depauw; her daughter, Alyssa Shafer of Depauw; and her mother, Linda Rice Newbern of Depauw.

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
