Rhonda Jill Richardson Brown, 71, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, died Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born May 7, 1954, in Estill County, Kentucky, to the late Labon Richardson, Sr. and Mildred Perry Richardson.  She was retired from the healthcare field and most recently worked as a substitute teacher at Morgan Elementary School near Palmyra, Indiana.  She was a woman of faith, and attended St. John Paul II Catholic Church near Sellersburg, Indiana with her husband, Bob, where they took part in many church trips and were frequent providers for Donut Sundays.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Brown; her step-daughter, Lori Brown; and her nephew, Brent Richardson.

 

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Carpenter, Jr. (Sharon) and Jon Carpenter (Missy); her step-son, Donnie Brown; her step daughter, Melissa Leezer; her brothers, Labon Richardson, Jr. (Cathy), Marcus Richardson (Kathi), Casey Richardson (Betty), and Richard Pepler (Jan); her grandchildren, Austin, Edan, Kash, Kaden, Cameron, Catelin, Nick, Isaac, and Ryan; and many loving nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, followed by a visitation until 4:00 p.m..  Father Tom Clegg will officiate.
