Rev. Shelden Lee Wright, 86, of Corydon, died Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon.  He was born July 22, 1937, in Depauw, Indiana, to the late George Henry Wright and Georgia Marie McCollum Wright.  He was a retired minister and member of the Bible Methodist Church and attended Shiloh Pilgrim Holiness Church near Corydon. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ruth E. Smith Wright.

 

Survivors include his sons, Ryan E. Wright (Debbie) of Southport, Indiana, Dale E. Wright (Nina) of Traskwood, Arkansas, and Travis Lee Wright (Vonda) of Charlestown, Indiana; his daughter, Linda Wright Shields (Bryan) of Jasper, Alabama; his brother, Ron Wright of Louisville, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Mark Arnett will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
