Rev. Bernard A. Christy, 82, of Corydon, Indiana, died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital.  He was born February 23, 1944, in Fulton County, Ohio, to the late Arthur E. Christy and Mary Evangeline Harris Christy.  Bernard was a pastor and a missionary for 9 years in the Caribbean with his wife, Virgina, and was a member of Beechwood Bible Holiness Church near Carefree, Indiana.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Cassy Dobbs; and his sisters, Hazel Stewart and Marilyn Stukey.

 

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Virginia K. Ridenour Christy; his daughters, Janette R. Hartman (Lewis), Brenda K. Fall (Kevin) and Pennie M. Moore; his brothers, Robert Christy (Cindy) and Kenneth Christy (Joan); his sisters, Darline Line and Barbara Shartzer (Ed); 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Brother Joey Pyle will officiate.  Burial will be in Grable Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Cody Hartman, Jesse Hartman, Caleb Fall, Andrew Fall, Reuben Fall and Barak Fall.
