Reba Justine (Gibson) Peabody, 97, of Leavenworth, died Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.  She was born July 26, 1925, near English, Indiana, to the late Bennett and Chloe (Laswell) Gibson.  She was a homemaker and a farmer.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Earl Ray Peabody; and her daughter in law, Jan Peabody.

 

Survivors include her children; Terry Peabody (Debbie), Carl Peabody (Mary), Christie Niehaus (John), Dwight Peabody, and Connie Adams (Clive); 9 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

 

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at Leavenworth Memorial Gardens.  Pastor Marvin Culver will officiate.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

 

Pallbearers will be Dwight Peabody, Evan Peabody, John Kocur, Mark Wardlow, John LaHue, and Jeff LaHue.
