Phyllis S. Duley, 83, of Corydon, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon.  She was born October 15, 1941, in Corydon, to the late Amzie and Lois Brown Garbrough.  She worked as a day care provider and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church near Corydon.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Vernon Gene Garbrough; her sister, Evelyn Hood; and her brother-in-law, Earl Hood.

 

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Earl William “Bill” Duley; her daughters, Dawn A. Travis (William “Dub”) and Nicole S. Evans (Josh); her grandchildren, Britney Stone (Jarrod), Courtney Chu (Michael), Gracelynn Evans, and Braylie Evans; and her great grandchildren, Colton Chu, Magdalena Chu, Merida Chu and Archer Stone.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Steve Smith will officiate.  Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Josh Evans, William Travis, Michael Chu, Jarrod Stone, Ryan Coffman and Quinton Coffman.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
