Phyllis E. Mattingly, 79, of Corydon, died Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born April 1, 1943, in Corydon, to the late Hiram and Maudie Dell Humphrey Gudgeon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ferris White; and her brother, Charles Gudgeon.
Survivors include her sons, Larry and James White; her daughters, Melissa Morgan (Ricky), Diana Milner (Sam), and Patty Traughber (Chris); her companion of 15 years, Luther Kemp; her brothers, Butch Gudgeon, Thomas Gudgeon, and Jerry Wayne Gudgeon; her sisters, Virginia Gray and Linda Shewmaker; 10 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
