Peggy Marie Ladd

Peggy Marie Ladd, 87, of Corydon, died Friday, June 10, 2022, at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon.  She was born November 22, 1934, in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Charlie W. Ingle, Sr. and Julia Ann Paxton Ingle.  Peggy was a retired inspector for the USDA, was the co-founder, with her husband Sylvester, of the Next Step in Corydon, and was a member of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sylvester G. Ladd; her son, Allan Ladd Duncan; her grandchildren, Kevin Carlisle, Mindy Kay Ladd, Lisa Benson and Richard Benson; her brother, Charlie Ingle, Jr.; and her sisters, Maxine McLawhorn, Carolee Selvage and Betty Mullins.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Ladd, Sr. (Shaun) of Mauckport, Indiana and Stephen Ladd of Corydon; her daughters, Debbie Longoria (Rod) of Corydon, Peggy Benson (Ricky) of Lancaster, Virginia, Edith Stewart (Douglas) of New Albany, Indiana, Colleen Neafus (Kevin) of Corydon, Tina Nichols (James) of Corydon, and Stephanie Ladd of Salem, Indiana; and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Chaplain George Payocong will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
