Paul E. Whitehouse, 88, of Corydon, Indiana, died Sunday, August 31, 2025, at his home near Corydon.  He was born August 9, 1937, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, to the late Frank Marion and Anna Evelyn McGaughey Whitehouse.  He was a retired machinist at Philip Morris Tobacco Company in Louisville, and was a member of White Cross Church of New Middletown (formerly New Middletown United Methodist Church), The Grand Masonic Lodge of Kentucky, F&AM Lodge # 951 in Shively, Kentucky, the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association, and the Old Capitol Saddle Club near Corydon.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Betty J. Stargle Whitehouse and Shirley A. Whitaker Whitehouse; his grandmother “Mommy”, Pearl A. Jennings; and his son in law, Orvy Sprayberry.

 

Survivors include his sons, Larry E. Whitehouse, Clark W. Whitehouse (Teresa), Robert A. Whitehouse (Cathleen), and Darrell F. Whitehouse (Justine Snider); his daughter, Paula J. Sprayberry (Tom Cody); his brothers, Frank Marion Whitehouse, Jr. and Barry Whitehouse (Cissy); his sisters, Andrea White (Royce) and Kay Hutt (Steve); his grandchildren, Tiffany Adams (Allen), Erin A. Walker (Scott), Ethan Whitehouse (Melanie), Jessica Whitehouse (Brooke), Kimberly Jackson (Dylan), Kelly Decker (Scott), Shayna Hamilton (Sandy), Travis Sprayberry, Courtney Todd (Justin), and Joshua P. Whitehouse; and 21 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Darren Carey will officiate.  Burial will be in White Cross Church of New Middletown Cemetery in New Middletown, Indiana.

 

There will be Masonic rites at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Ethan Whitehouse, Travis Sprayberry, Joshua Whitehouse, Adam Whitehouse, James Stargle and Justin Todd.  Honorary pallbearer will be Barry Whitehouse.
