Patricia K. “Patty” Payne, 70, of Corydon, died Monday, June 16, 2025, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon.  She was born October 19, 1954 in Corydon.  She was a retired RN at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon and was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church near New Salisbury, Indiana. 

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Leo Wathen, Sr.; her mother and step father, Phyllis C. Wiseman Carver and Elmer S. Carver; and her brothers, Charles L. Wathen, Jr. and Eldon “Jaye” Carver.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Paula K. Payne; her grandchildren, Cydney and Cora Payne; her great grandchildren, Eli, Aspyn and Harper; her brothers, Elmer R. Carver, Donald F. Carver and Jeffery W. Carver; and her sisters, Virginia A. McMonigle, Denise Davison and Donna J. Richard.

 

There will be a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Chuck Fischer will officiate.

 

Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at the funeral home.
