Patricia Ann Short

Patricia Ann Short, 63, of Corydon, Indiana, died Thursday, September 1, 2022, at her home near Salem, Indiana.  She was born January 1, 1959, in Corydon, to the late Arthur and Mary Feller Flynn.  She was formerly employed at Holm Industries in Scottsburg, Indiana and at Airguard Indiana in New Albany, Indiana, as a cake decorator at Meijer in Jeffersonville, Indiana, as a seamstress, and was a member of First Capital Christian Church in Corydon.  Most of all, Patricia was a loving and proud Mamaw, that loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 36 years, Phillip Short; and her brothers, Johnny, Michael and Ronnie Flynn.

Survivors include her sons, Phillip Daniel Short (Lynn) and Adam Lee Short both of Salem and Shawn Patrick Short (Kimberly) and Joseph Aaron Short both of Corydon; her daughter, Victoria Nicole Short Rankin (Derry) of Pekin, Indiana; her sisters, Sharon Goodman (Don) of Corydon, Rose Short (Bob) of Salem, Sheila Short (Bill) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Mary Zahn of Georgetown, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Abby, Aiden, Sahara, Destiny, Bryson, Brianna, Shaye, Haylee, Katelynnn, Nathaniel, Alexis, Lucas, Blake, A.J., Emylie, Ethan, and Madelynn.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to First Capital Christian Church.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Short, Adam Short, Shawn Short, Joe Short, Derry Rankin, and Nathaniel Rankin.
