Pamela Kay Smith, 70, of Corydon, died Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. She was born July 3, 1951, near Cape Sandy, Indiana, to the late John and Ruth Royer Waggoner. Pamela was passionately involved in various faith ministries, was a member of Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church and Mercy Street Ministries near Corydon, and was the lead singer of One Way Worship.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Raymond Smith; her son, Andrew Raymond Smith (Nichole); her daughters, Julie Gayle Cooley, Kristi Nicole King and Kaitlyn Jewel Smith; her grandchildren, Samantha, Brice, Carl Vincent, Evangeline, Michael, Lexi and Gunner; and her sister, Sue Bullington.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at First Capital Christian Church in Corydon. Pastor Tim Johnson and Pastor Paul Walerczak will officiate. Burial will be in Leavenworth Memorial Gardens near Leavenworth, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the church.
The family request that expressions of sympathy be made to Mercy Street Ministries at Pfrimmer’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Smith, Samantha Sallee, Brice Thornton, Carl Vincent Sallee, Michael Cooley, and Gunner Smith.
