Olga F. Hughes, 69, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born May 11, 1956, in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

Olga was formerly employed at Beach Mold & Tool in New Albany, Indiana and Caesars Indiana near Elizabeth, Indiana, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. But of all the roles she held in her lifetime, the ones she cherished most were being a devoted mother and Oma.

 

Her daughters were the center of her world, and she made countless sacrifices to give them the best life she could. Through them, she found her strength and purpose, and her greatest joy came from watching them grow and flourish. That love only deepened with the arrival of her grandchildren, who lit up her life in ways words can barely capture. She was happiest when surrounded by her family – whether in the quiet moments or in the laughter of celebration – and her life truly thrived through their love.  Her legacy is one of devotion, resilience, and unwavering love, carried forward in the hearts of her daughters and grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian Erentreich and Sonja Vitalis Hernandez, and her siblings, Christian Erentreich, Happy Erentreich, Carl Erentreich, and Becky Erentreich.

 

Survivors include her beloved daughters, Valarie Metzger (Brandon), Angela Browning (Bryan), and Erica Graff (Stephen); her treasured grandchildren, Olivia Hatfield, Jackson Graff, Kinzie Graff, Eleanor Browning, and Brian Browning; and her siblings, Hans Erentreich, Johnny Erentreich, and Irma Erentreich.

 

Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Bryan Browning and Stephen Graff, along with her
grandson, Jackson Graff.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
