Norma Jean Walton

Norma Jean Walton, 88, of Corydon, formerly of English, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at her home in Corydon.  She was born August 15, 1931, in Crawford County, Indiana, to the late Harry and Irene Dooley Roach.  She was retired from M. Fine and Sons Shirt Factory in New Albany.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jerry Walton; her granddaughter, Stephanie Grace Jones; her brothers, Bill, George and Bob Roach; and her sisters, Pauline Daily and Ruth Satterfield.

Survivors include her sons, Douglas Walton of Louisville, Phillip L. Walton (Mary) of Marengo, and Wayne J. Walton (Karen) of New Albany; her daughters, Pamela Fessel (Thomas) of Marengo, and Brenda K. Walton of Corydon; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Bob Stidham will officiate.  Burial will be in Mather’s Cemetery near English.

Private visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
