Neal H. Brown

Neal H. Brown, 89, of New Salisbury, died Monday, February 15, 2021, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Corydon.  He was born February 10, 1932, near Mauckport, Indiana, to the late August “Gus” and Hester “Aliene” Hardin Brown.  He was a retired Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served 21 years, was retired from Jefferson Community College in Louisville, and was an auctioneer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Randall V. “Randy” Brown; his brothers, Clifford “Bud” Brown and Leland Brown; and his sister, Olive Deloris Nicholson.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lula Belle Reed Brown; his son, Jeffrey N. Brown (Peggy) of New Salisbury; his daughters, Terri L. Bass (Denny) of Mauckport and Sheila Conrad (Stoy) of Corydon; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Toney & Andrea Voyles will officiate.  Burial will be in New Amsterdam Cemetery in New Amsterdam, Indiana.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Stoy and Andrew Conrad, Matthew Neal Brown, Keith Cannon, Gary Hoeffler and Bradley Reas.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Burnett and Gina Hardin.
