Monnie R. Stepro Flickner

Monnie R. Stepro Flickner, 90, of New Middletown, died Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon.  She was born July 16, 1932 in Harrison County, Indiana.  She was retired from the Harrison County Auditor’s Office and the U.S. Census Bureau, was formerly employed with the U.S. Naval Ordnance, and was a member of the New Middletown United Methodist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. Stepro and Elsie G. Gutkese Shickles; her husband, Frank Lee Flickner; her son, Robert “Hoot” Flickner; her grandson, Robbie Flickner; her great grandchildren, Maria Flickner and Waylon Flickner; her brothers, Jim Stepro and Charlie Stepro; her sister, Carolyn Rhodes; and her son in law, Gale Riggs.

Survivors include her sons, Richard Flickner (Debby) and Mike Flickner (Linda) both of Corydon; her daughter, Cathy Flickner Riggs of Corydon; her sister, Barbara Owens (Sonny) of Cody, Wyoming; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Lee Brown will officiate.  Burial will be in New Middletown United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Flickner, Christopher Flickner, Rusty Flickner, Alan Poole, Danny Bruce, and David Bruce.
