Mona Lee Smith, 68, of Louisville, died Monday, October 22, 2018. She was born March 10, 1950, in Corydon, Indiana, to the late Eldon and Norma Lee Nossett Rothrock. She received her undergraduate degree from Asbury College and her master’s degree from Indiana University Southeast, was employed as a substitute school teacher with the Jefferson County Public Schools, was formerly employed with UPS in Louisville, was a former park ranger with the Harrison-Crawford State Forest near Corydon, was a former probation officer for Harrison County, Indiana, and was a member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Smith; her sons, Aaron Lincoln Smith (Kyoko) and Jonathan David Smith (Kellie) both of Louisville; and her grandchildren, Leonidas Zen Smith, Esther Lynn Smith, Emma Jean Smith, Allie Lee Smith and Lily June Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Blue River Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Aaron, Jonathan and Leonidas Smith, and Scott, Doug and Stuart Rothrock.
